Project Europe. Photographs by Jan Michalko
The development of Eastern Europe whether it be by European Union borders or simply global flows of information shapes a collision between traditional social life with the new western influences. The result is a sub-culture reinterpreting and erasing the split between East and West Europe while forging its own unique colourful contemporary landscape and identity. - The photos selected are from journeys in Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia.
